Well, on the old board I realised, that I was complaining about a dying thread in exactly this thread, which I thought would have died.
A little thread in English is definitely required in the kitchen as well. So someone has to start it...me...
But what talking about? All real topics are already covered with the other boards.

One topic was Björk, wasn’t it? Has someone already listened to her new album? How is it?

A couple of days ago I watched some Videos with ST Voyager episodes, which I haven’t seen yet. It was in English and I thought wow. What about Captain Janeway/ Kate Mulgrew? What a voice! And how she can modulate it (and manipulate other people with it)! Gorgeous! I never realised what a talented actor she is.
Has onyone else seen Voyager in the original version? The synchronised version is really lacking.

Bye bilana

Since yesterday I've got to say - I love it! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/roetel.gif)

Yes, sure. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Just answer to the last question ---> "Who surprised you lately (and what did she/he do?)?" , and then ask a new one, so that the new question can be answered by somebody else.

A friend, who invited me on a trip to Rome (because I'm too skint to afford it just now). (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bounce.gif)

Tea. I don't like coffee, wine and beer. And just chocolate for the rest of my life would be too much sweetness.

Ages ago, I tried to do the Ramadan thing of no eating between sunrise and sunset (not that I'm a Muslim or in any way religious, just to try it out), but that only lasted about a week.

In the UK, lots of poeple give up something for Lent, and I was trying to break my sugar habit, so I did six weeks without sugar last year. I actually quite enjoyed it, but Ive not managed to repeat the feat since. I'm a sugar junkie....

Hah. An alarm clock, a bucket of cold water and a bed that tips me on the floor. In a word: yes.

Yes, indeed. But I couldn't be sure, that it would be you, Pingüina, to answer to the question. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Well, I'm not a globe trotter. I have to do business trips, and I do 5 - 10 personal trips p.a.

The very southern bit of South America, a fair bit; Argentina, mostly. The western edge of Asia, ie. the Middle East, a couple of times. And Africa, very technically, a week in Cairo & Alexandria. (Oh, and Europe, innit.)

Ten to 15 trips a year seems quite a bit! I don't do that many.

What's your favourite country?

Well, German & English, obv., and Spanish; those are all fluent. Rusty French, rusty Welsh, beginner's Portuguese, very rusty beginner's Italian. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon4.gif) I like languages.

Arabic. Ive been to the Middle East a few times (well, three) and I'd love to go back; but I feel dead stupid not being able to communicate properly. Also I reckon between English, Spanish and Arabic I'll have about three quarters of the world covered. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Which is better, city or country?
