Well, on the old board I realised, that I was complaining about a dying thread in exactly this thread, which I thought would have died.
A little thread in English is definitely required in the kitchen as well. So someone has to start it...me...
But what talking about? All real topics are already covered with the other boards.

One topic was Björk, wasn’t it? Has someone already listened to her new album? How is it?

A couple of days ago I watched some Videos with ST Voyager episodes, which I haven’t seen yet. It was in English and I thought wow. What about Captain Janeway/ Kate Mulgrew? What a voice! And how she can modulate it (and manipulate other people with it)! Gorgeous! I never realised what a talented actor she is.
Has onyone else seen Voyager in the original version? The synchronised version is really lacking.

Yes! Climbing up in my grandparents' attic and rummaging in the old boxes let me always find treasures. :wub:


What makes you feel happy these days?

The thought that teacher training might soon be over. The overwhelming support I'm getting from my best friend and from colleagues. I'm happy because my cat liked his dinner tonight. And K. ....her words make me happy and whole.

What gives you peace of mind?

Music, the North Sea and good friends.


Where/how do you see yourself in five years?

Honestly, I have no idea!! (Tomorrow, I'll be in hell, but only for 45 minutes...)

What is your remedy for fear?

Breathing deeply and slowly into my "center" (as we say in karate, it's a bit like breathing into your stomach), singing Irish rebel songs, eating "Baldrian", and reading a good poem or two...

What was the nicest compliment you ever got?

I got it from a swedish girl who heard me talking in Swedish, and she didn't believe that I was german. B)

I've heard the same about my English BUT only ever from Americans - and I speak with a British accent. :D

Hmmm... maybe when someone said that perhaps I didn't come across as a typical Leo but I managed to get my way anyway? :D
