Oh, so you do have questions, after all. ;) But I don't have an answer to this one because although I've often heard the term "British humour", I can't think of an example right now. (Says an English teacher... :roetel:)

Can you give me an example so I can decide if I do?

Not really then, I suppose... :roetel: But I liked "Four weddings and a funeral"!

Isn't that British humour, too?

I guess so - because I don't like Monty Python either but I like a lot of Brits, so their humour can't be all that weird. ;)

What characterises German humour for you? :gruebel:

I don't know! I find these questions so hard! I don't even know what's German! Unless it's that we take everything so seriously... ;)

What characterizes "German" for you?

well organised, hard-working... and yes, taking everything seriously :D
(and I comply with only one out of three - maybe I should change my passport? )

Have you ever contemplated emigrating?

I don't want to emigrate. (But never say never. :D)

Did it happen to you, that you said "never" and then you did it anyway?

Never! :P I've thought about this for a long time... and I don't know! I've probably done things that seemed unlikely to me before, or things I shouldn't do and then ended up doing... But I am probably too postmodern to say "never"... I don't know... This is a philosophical question!

Do you often reread e-mails or pms or even entries here at the messageboard that you yourself have written... or do you write them and then completely let them go?

I didn't mean to be philosphical... :roetel: :D

I often reread things I have written, so that I can remember what I revealed. ;)

And you?

I do, too. I like rereading them after a while. Rereading them right after I have sent them is something I also do, but I consider that a little bit neurotic...

Is there a special letter you wrote as a child or teenager that you would like to reread?

I would like to reread the letters that I wrote as a child to my grandmother.

Sometimes - but mostly just when I was on holidays, because my grandparents all lived in the same town as we did.

Do you still write postcards when you are on holidays?

Yes, to my parents and to some friends.

If you write several postcards on a holiday, do you write the same on all cards?

Here's how I do it: I spend much time writing a million postcards with many different texts, then I reread them, think they sound completely stupid, throw them in the next paper bin - and tell people I just didn't get around to it. (Except my granny, she always gets a postcard, one way or another.)

What are you hopeless at?

I am hopeless at keeping a straight/poker face while playing cards. At least, that's what I am told all the time.
